Dr. Saumya Jamuar is a board-certified clinical geneticist and pioneering medical innovator. Currently serving as the Director of the Centre for Precision Health & Paediatrics.
- Dr.Jamuar is dedicated to bridging the gap between genomic research and meaningful patient care.
- Notably, he discovered the rare genetic disorder Jamuar syndrome and champions research, treatment advocacy, and family support through The UGDH Foundation.
- He is also the inventor of the first customized Asian carrier screening panel, RheaStrands, which his team developed by identifying critical clinical gaps in Asian genomic data.
- His academic background includes medical training at the National University of Singapore, Paediatric training at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and a clinical genetics residency at Harvard Medical School.
