Michèle Ramsay (PhD) Professor of Human Genetics and Director of the Sydney Brenner Institute for Molecular Bioscience at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Positions
- Her research focuses on understanding genomic variation, population structure, and gene-by-environment interactions in African populations, particularly related to cardiometabolic disease and precision medicine.
- She is a member of the WHO TAG-G and co-chairs the International Health Cohorts Consortium and The Lancet Commission on Precision Health.
- She is the immediate-past President of the International Federation of Human Genetics Societies.
